The True Life of Veritatis Splendor

St. Francis de Sales once wrote,  “Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly.”  Should you ever visit the rolling hills of our small, and growing, east Texas community, that is exactly what you will find at Veritatis Splendor- families called from all over the world to become more deeply sanctified through their vocations as husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, and priests. At the heart of Veritatis Splendor lives Truth; a vibrant and beating heart of true faith, true love, and true community.   The world from the outside has looked upon Veritatis Splendor and seen adultery, chastisement, and the loss of a beloved bishop. If, by chance, the world dared to look more deeply, they would find over 70 families and counting that frequent our small and beautiful chapel; a chapel filled daily with the Sacraments and the joyful laughter of our innumerable children.
